4.0 out of 5 stars Very Light, Solid, and loads of functions, February 7, 2012
This review is from: Casio Pathfinder Titanium Black Dial Men's Watch - PRW-5100YT-1JF[Japan Import] (Watch)
I love this watch from the first sight, I have been searching for a new watch to join my collection, when I open the wooden box, and got it out, wow, it's LIGHT, and looks neat in black,
I tried to mess with it (without reading the box) and I was actually lost, I could not set the time, because, I live in Kuwait, we don't have radio signals, anyway, after reading the manual, I figured out how the functions are and how the watch reads the sensors, and how it is displayed.

At night, the Hours and Minutes Hands plus the 12 hours signs are illuminated, and if it's not clear you can use the light, in Kuwait we have a lot of sunlight even in winter :), so, this watch will be always working and charged, I used it with sport, casual and formal cloth, and still shiny.

I really love it, but, still nothing is perfect I really find this watch PRICY, plus, Illumination should be better, like changing the Digital display background color would be great

The purpose for purchasing this item was to obtain a robust watch with all the routine capability but in addition with temperature and barometric features.
The watch comes through on all points. It's good looking too. I purchased the optional sapphire face and titanium bracelet. The watch weighs in at about 3.8oz----very light.

The instructions are detailed and understandable. Both barometric and temperature readings are calibrated at the factory. I question the accuracy of the
temperature readings which seem about 10% high against a number of comparison gauges. The barometric readings come in at about 1-2% accuracy.
It's imperative that one makes allowance for the elevation of the watch vis a vis that of the official weather station readings when checking barometric pressure.

The altimeter is a very useful feature especially if one is a hiker, including the cumulative elevation gained over a day's hike. It has to be set against a datum... Read more

I've had this watch for about 5 weeks. I love the style and function. People have complained about the accuracy of the temperature readings being too high. TAKE IT OFF OF YOUR WRIST. Mine indicates within 1 degree of calibrated thermometer, which I find amazing. This watch is considerabley larger than the standard Casio G-Shock, Pathfinder, or standard Protrek. The stated diameter is 51mm. It is very large.

The titanium build (watch & band) is fantastic. It is light as a feather, yet is extremely strong/durable. I love the sapphire dial glass. It really makes the watch "pop". I was pleasantly surprised as the difference between the 'mineral' glass.

I am 6'6", 250lbs, and the watch looks perfect in size. Large, but not like a hub cap some kids wear.

The best $850 I've ever spent. Really.
