From Casio, a towering edifice in the watch world comes the Casio Men's Edifice Stainless Steel Multi-Function Chronograph Watch. It kicks off with a 45.8mm stainless steel case with a black-toned stainless steel stationary bezel. The crown and pushers grace both sides of the stainless steel case. These elements cradle a black dial that is a flurry of function protected by a mineral crystal. The dial features silver-toned luminous hour markers and hands powered by precise quartz movement. The dial also features chronograph sub-dials with 1/100-second, day, 60-second and 24-hour displays. A three-link stainless steel bracelet straps this watch to the wrist, while a fold-over push-button safety clasp makes sure it stays there. This watch also features solar power, a full auto calendar and water resistance up to 330 feet (100 meters).
Note:If the watch is in any mode other then timekeeping the second hand will not spin (unless chronograph is actually running)
The way to find out what mode you are in please check the sub-dial located at the 3:00 position if it is not pointing to the day of the week then the watch is not in timekeeping mode thus the second hand will not spin.

I normally don't write reviews, but I felt compelled to here. It is a beautiful, sporty watch that seems durable and precise. The hands are not off, the solar power feature works well, and its very power efficient (second hand stops moving after the watch is not used for a few hours, for example when you go to sleep. However the watch still keeps internal time and once it wakes up, the second hand quickly shifts back to where it would have been had it been running all night, and it's almost like the watch hadn't gone to sleep). Solid band, not too heavy but not too light either. Face looks beautiful, very well designed. 0 Now it does have a steep learning curve. It took me a few hours to understand everything and set the watch, however don't let that deter you it is a great watch for the money. I searched around A LOT before finding this watch, and compared to my friend's eco drive, I'd rather have this watch. 26 of 26 people found the following review helpful By This review is from: Casio Men's EQS500DB-1A1 Edifice Tough Solar Stainless Steel Multi-Function Watch with Link Bracelet (Watch) I was aiming for yet another citizen eco-drive, having couple of them already, and I was surprised to see a nice looking, fairly priced, solar powered chronograph by Casio... I am type of the person that buys watches based on their appeal rather than a name brand. I love the look of this watch; it looks sporty and modern... It feels expensive because of the material quality, its features and weight. It has panel which show days of the week while other features, such as month and a year, can be accessed in the sub-menu. You can change your time zones relative to where you reside. In total there are 29 cities to choose from and this could be useful feature for the people who are doing a lot of travelling. There is a stop watch, that I rarely use, which some people could find useful. The alarm feature is also present and the alarm will sound for 10 seconds at the given time. The case is polished stainless steel while band is only brushed. I know some people might find this little bit... I then stumbled onto Casio's Edifice line, and this watch had me hooked. It not only looked beautiful, but it was also solar powered with world time and included a chronograph. It was love at first sight. I received the watch today and it's exactly how I imagined it, except for a 1 caveat.1. Watch Face and Band Simply stunning clear mineral glass with great lume and nice world time borders along the watch face. A pleasure to look at everyday. This model comes in 3 colors, a black, rose gold, and silver. I purchased the silver for the steel band and clarity, but the band is unfortunately very thin and light. This is the only caveat I encountered with the watch, it was even lighter/cheaper feeling than my Seiko Perpetual Calendar watch, even though the Seiko was cheaper and the... Read more |
